Blurb

A woman destined to change the world. A timeless adversary determined to stop her. Only one will win.
Humiliated after the disastrous launch event for her protection racket, Amelia Faustus is furious and determined to punish those responsible. But her own support system is cracking and something new is haunting her home.
Beth and Jonan – finally together after lifetimes of searching for one another – have to stop Amelia’s attempts to prevent them fulfilling their destiny. But they find themselves under attack from all directions. Trolled by Amelia online, and targeted by her angry followers in real life, they fight to keep innocent people out of Amelia’s clutches. But Amelia has already started to hurt those closest to them to get what she wants.
As Amelia continues to terrorise their loved ones, Beth and Jonan are once again put on the defensive. They need to convince people to stand up to Amelia’s manipulations, but can they succeed when The Fear is already taking root?

Review

The Starfolk Falling continues directly where Starfolk Arcana left off. I have to say I adored this one just as much if not a little more than the first. We got to know a lot more about the destinies and predetermined fates of the characters. Previous characters got developed and new ones were introduced. I feel somewhat bad because even though Amelia is bad, the trilogy does have a very big good vs bad trope (not a bad thing at all) I adore how she is written and how she is evolving or perhaps unravelling is a better term. She continues to try and manipulate the people and focus on Jonan and Beth and while she is bad I can’t help but love how Dunlop has written her and brought her to life.

Now that said I do love our protagonists, namely Beth and Jonan, but the whole crew is perfect. I love how we are seeing how much stronger they have become with their bond in place as well. As I said about the 1st book, the idea of fate soul mates is written so well in this series and it continues to be.

The writing is fantastic again and brings the world and characters to life. The flow and pace of the novel really suit the genre and story. I found myself not rushed but it wasn’t too slow either. Just perfect. I am really looking forward to the final.

About the Author

Author of  The Starfolk Trilogy and Wild Shadow, Martha is a dreamer and a lover of stories. She likes nothing better than spending her days getting to know the characters in her head.
She is a tarot card reader and reiki master, and loves to chat reading, writing and all things mystical on social media, as well as posting pictures of her fellow pack-member, Bertie the Cavalier.
Martha is a fiddle player who fell in love with traditional music, particularly Irish, and is also teaching herself to play the Irish Bouzouki. She played her way through her English degree at York and remembers that time as much for the music as the books.
